It is 20 KM away from Udumalpet and 40 KM away from Pollachi. Thirumoorthy Temple and waterfalls identified as Amanalingeswarar Temple and Panjalinga Aruvi. We can feel the authentic nature touch of the Western Ghats here. Bus 🚌 services are available every 10 minutes from the nearest city of Udumalpet (5 AM-9 PM).

Thirumoorthy Malai Dam

The dam is 60 feet in height and 2 KM in length. The primary water source for the dam is Panjalinga Aruvi and Aliyar dam water through the Contour canal. Dam water provided as the drinking water for all around the Tiruppur district people.

Additionally, Thirumoorthy Dam 🌊 is capable of releasing water for irrigation of 94,000 acres or more with the remaining water after the drinking water 🌊 usage. It’s an excellent 😎 place to take photos and swim in the dam. Besides these, you can ride on dam sand as well. If you plan to dive into Dam, please be careful as so many people died because they stuck in the mid of the mud.

It is 3KM away from Thirumoorthy Dam and 1.5KM away from Thirumoorthy Temple. The best time to visit the waterfall is the winter ☃️ or rainy season(October to March). The waterfall emerged from the Western Ghats. In the summer times, the water flow will be very little.

Before stepping into the way of the waterfall, make sure you’re satisfied with the level of water🤔 by watching the water move around the Temple. Be aware of Monkeys around you once you reached the waterfall. Above Thirumoorthy falls, there is a Panjalingam(5 Lingams) 🙏 available. We are limited to enter the place as it is closed most of the time.

Thirumoorthy Malai ⛰️ is one of the peaks in the Western Ghats. Covering Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Karnataka, Maharastra and Gujarat, Western Ghats is one of the highest peaks in Asia. It is 1600KM long.

First, you’ll reach the Thirumoorthy Dam, Park and Swimming Pool🏊. Next, you’ll enter the Thirumoorthi Temple 1.5KM away from Dam starting. And lastly, you need to climb🧗‍♂️ 1.5KM to reach the Panjalinga Aruvi. Sometimes they’ll allow the top of the falls where you can spot the Panjalingam.

Mode of travel to Thirumoorthy Hills

You can park your bike🏍️ near the temple all the time. If you travel by car🏎️, you can park near the temple on regular days and at the festival time, you need to park 1KM before the temple.

Amanalingeswarar Temple 🙏

Thirumoorthi Temple also called an Amanalingeswarar temple. The first thing to remember, you should be cool with the monkeys🐒. Lord Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu all are known as Thirumoorthigal and that’s how the temple named Thirumoorthi Temple. Also, there is Lord Vinayagar, Murugan, Nandi and Eight Pillar Hall(எட்டுக்கால் மண்டபம்), etc.

It’s believed that the lords have the power 💪 of curing warts in our body by praying and throwing the sandal (சந்தனம்). On the negative side, if the water flow is high from the panjalingam, the entire temple will be covered with water. Sometimes free food 😋 is given by the devotees. Panjalingam 🙏 named after the 5 Lingams placed at the temple. The good thing is Panjalingam is safe and secured. But, the bad thing is it is very secured as it opens rarely. Panjalingam is 2KM away from the Thirumoorthy Temple bottom. One needs to climb 100M from the Panjalinga Aruvi to reach the Lord Panjalingam. There you can get absolute peace.
