  1. Kundah Dam in Nilgiris is having a potential tourism and it will attract more tourist to Nilgiris. By diverting pooled tourist in Ooty towards village side covering Chamraj Estate, Kundah Dam, Annamalai Temple View, Penistock, Geddai Dam View, Kinnakorai view etc. and will provide employment opportunities to these area. Kundah Dam is now encroached by a private estate to the tune of 35 acres of TNEB lands and it has already been reported to government of Tamil Nadu. Your Tourist Officer in Nilgiris Thiru Uma Nath has already visited the spot and he expressed his satisfaction over the project. But due to the pressure from the encroacher side he put the issues apart in collaboration of TNEB officials. We request your good team to explore the possibility by contacting Energy Department at Ministerial level to get these lands under tourism department. This will boost tourism in Nilgiris further more.
