Karuppan Temple – On The Way To Palani To Kodaikanal
At 7 AM we’ve started from the hometown of Udumalpet and at 8 AM we’ve arrived at the Palani. Here the gameshow enters. To catch the Kodaikanal road from Palani, we should go to the road behind the temple. Once you got the road, you’re all set to explore one of the cool routes in Tamilnadu. In just 2 KM of travel, you can see the fully trees covered road. In Just 6 KM there is a temple for Lord Karuppan. All the travellers and tourist buses stop right there and get blessings from All-powerful Karuppan. We also stopped there and got the blessing, from Karuppan.
Palar Dam View – 15KM From Palani To Kodaikanal Road
After Crossing the Karuppan Temple, you’re ready to maximize your bike’s accelerator as the Hillstation begins there. Right after 2 Hair Pin bends you’ll reach the gorgeous Palar Dam view. You can spend up to 15 minutes in the beautiful view of the Palar Dam. After that, continue your journey until the Palani Malai Murugan Temple View. Maybe you can stop somewhere and try to capture the stunning photos of the hill station.
Palani Temple Majestic View Point – 40KM from Palani
Here you go, after a one hour travel, here you can have tea with the mesmerizing view of Palani Temple. No guarantee that always you can able to see the temple as the fog covers sometimes. After having the tea, turn on your mobile video camera, because there is the best opportunity to capture the video of hill station surrounded by dense trees coupled with the fogs.
The Gorgeous Narrow, Yet Beautiful Road
After travelling sometimes, the road gets narrow even more than the earlier route. But still, the climate boosts up you. The weather gets cold, the path getting smaller, and the wind on your face will make your ride even better.
Palar Dam View – 50KM From Palani To Kodaikanal Road
In 50KMs there is a beautiful spot to view the Palar river and Dam together. You can stop for a minute and enjoy the beauty for up to 5 minutes.
Perumalmalai
And now we reached the Perumalmalai, where Dindigul, Madurai, Palani all routes join together towards the Prince of Hills. Good budget hotels available for food or Tea whatever you like. We suggest you bypass Permalmalai and stop near the Silver Cascade falls, which is an eye-catching place for everyone.
Silver Cascade Falls
After crossing Perumalmalai, in just 5 KMs you reach the Check Post of Kodaikanal. The moment after you pass the Check Post here comes the surprise cascaded falls. The falls is 180feet in height and, two steps cascaded falls. You can stop here for at least 20-30 minutes to get a clear picture of yourself ahead of the waterfalls. In contrast to its beauty, there are a lot of monkeys waiting to smash your belongings in your vehicle. Be prepared for that. Once you enjoyed your precious time in Silver Cascade Falls, it’s just an 8KM away from Kodaikanal Lake.
